


Pilates
The Pilates Method of physical fitness, focusing on your body’s core muscle groups literally transforms the way your body looks, feels and performs. Pilates uses both mat work – which uses only body weight and padded mat – and exercises utilizing unique pieces of equipment designed specifically for Pilates training. Our Pilates program features a dedicated Pilates studio complete with the latest apparatus and accessories to maximize your training.
The Pilates Reformer consists of a sliding platform anchored at one end of its frame with springs. Exercises feature the challenge of moving the platform by either pulling on ropes or pushing off from a stationary bar, and maintaining balance on a moving surface.
The Pilates Cadillac is a raised horizontal table-top surrounded by a four poster frame on which various bars, straps, springs and levers are fixed. Over 80 different exercises can be performed on this piece of Pilates equipment, ranging from gentle spring-assisted sit ups to advanced movements that have one hanging from the upper bar.
Getting Started / Program Offerings
All members are invited to participate in our specially designed introduction to Pilates training classes held three times weekly. We incorporate the availability of Pilates within all personal training memberships and/or packages in order to best facilitate your ability to cross train.
Pilates Mat Class
Pilates mat exercises are a series of movements performed using body weight on a padded mat. This group exercise class will stretch and strengthen every muscle in your body with special emphasis on your ‘powerhouse’ – your abdominals, lower back, waist and hips.
Personal, Semi-Private, and Group Training
Pilates training is available as private training, semi-private with a workout partner, or group training in a small group. Personalized attention allows our highly trained and certified instructors to rapidly progress your training from basic to advanced mat work; to workouts utilizing weights, bands, physioballs and other accessories; and ultimately working with the Reformer and Cadillac.
